de-nile is not changing a thing. no matter how much i tell him that it just can't be so, sprout isn't listening to me. sigh.
we have entered the realm of crawling... and it is not good.
the sprout has developed a sort of modified army crawl for his endeavors. this is all well and good, in theory.
this "crawl" seems to work when he is going after something that he really, really, really wants. he reaches way forward with one arm and that kinda helps him get his motion going. HOWEVER this isn't always the case. as a matter of fact, i'd say a good 90% of all crawling expeditions end in frustrated screaming. why?? because 90% of the time he ends up going backwards! this is totally normal, i know. but... OMG the screaming! he wants the toy but is getting farther and farther away from it and he just can't handle it.
and poor mommy is there stuck between trying to sooth her wailing child and laughing her ass off as her son continues to scoot away from what he must have now. ;)

awww poor baby!!! Send him to me... I won't laugh at him... ;) oh who am i kidding? I can't wait to see him do it tomorrow, so i can laugh. tee hee.
LOL! I can't help but laugh at this. He sounds like so much fun. :)
How funny! It's amazing how much more you laugh when you have kids! (and how much more you cry, but that's another story, right??)
Oh poor ole Sprout. He is going to be such an athlete. This post made me remember something. We used to have 'relay' races for fitness back in my early teaching days; you know, skipping, frog jumping, side stepping, and one day I told them all to 'hop backwards'. Well, this one little chap hopped as hard as he could, but he could only go forward! It was so funny and so frustrating for him all at the same time. We ended up turning him around and telling him to hop forwards instead.:-D
