(and please ignore the fact that his sheets clash terribly with his crib bumper- the sheets were too cute to pass up. oh, and ignore that i have a bumper on the crib. i guess that is supposed to be a no-no. oh and the pile of stuffed animals too. i never said i was a good mom, did i??)
then we had a wonderful day with some friends. yay for friends!! when we got home i made dinner and we all sat down to eat. sprout finished his food so i gave him some puffs. would you check out that pincer grasp he has going on here?!?
(please ignore the total gross mess of his highchair tray. my son is a super messy eater and often steals the spoon and bangs it on the table allowing food to splatter every where. what can i say- i like him to enjoy his meal!)
so after dinner we are playing in the living room when sprout just starts clapping. we have no idea what made him decide to do it but there he was clapping away. bean was SO excited! she was even more excited when she realized that she could get him to clap by clapping herself. it was adorable. i wish i would have had the video camera.
you know, as much as i love to see him succeed at all these milestones i really wish he would spread things out a little more! let's give mama a break bud! ;)

Aww Sprout! Way to go little buddy!! :)
cripes. how do you keep up with that little guy? one of my fave mornings was when i heard emma babbling for the first time over the baby monitor. to wake up happy is a wonderful thing!
go sprout, go!
I was rolling with all your extra commentary! Once you called it all out I had to scrutinize the photo more closely - LOL!
Here's the thing, Harrison didn't even get to sleep in his crip until 15 months. he didn't have his own room until we moved and the crib sat in the garage - waiting. So when we moved I was bound and determined to have those stinkin' cute bumpers up for a little while at least. What can I say - I'm a worse mom!!
I dunno Carey - with unmatching sheets and a messy highchair tray I'm not sure we can be friends anymore...cuz ya know, everything in my house is perectly coordinated and perfectly clean.
Okay, first you cracked me up and now I'm cracking myself up! HA!
Go Sprouty!
Sprout is such an over achiever already! HA!
(p.s. I love all your disclaimers! tee hee!)
You have SO got to get over the idea that we are all out here tut tutting over your 'inadequacies' as a 'magazine mom'. Real mum. Real kids. All amazingly special!
I'm really in awe of how fast Sprout is progressing. I can't help but wonder how he got into the sitting position all by himself. That's one of those things you like to see happen! :)
