it all clicked today for bean. she was on the swing. i gave her a push. i put sprout in the baby swing. that's when i heard her say, "look mommy! i can pump!"
sure enough, she can pump. we tried to teach her once but figured she was too young. today she did it without any instructions. she isn't fantastic at it but she can keep herself going for awhile which is great.also, she got her preschool packet in the mail that tells us who her teacher is and when she is scheduled to go in for "get acquainted day". school is starting in just a couple weeks! eeek!

i sat sprout on the ground and was talking with my mom. all of a sudden it hit me, sprout had been sitting there for at least 20 minutes without tipping over! whoa!
also, it kinda scares me that he gets up on his knees (arms and elbows on the ground) and rocks forward and backward. isn't that something they do prior to crawling?!?!?! will someone please remind my son that he is supposed to be a baby, a 4 1/2 month old baby! gah!
i really can't be too upset with him though. just look at that face and try to get upset- i double dog dare ya! ;)

good grief, sprout is adorable! so is bean, of course, but she is all BIG girl now! i can't believe preschool is starting over here too - where did our little baby girls go??
I just checked in ye olde baby book and the BA first sat upright unassisted at 18 weeks too. Looks like you will have an early walker on your hands!
How exciting for Bean too. I predict she will thrive at pre-school.
Dang, that Sprout is as cute as they come! And clever too...slow down, little man! Yay to Bean - N's been trying to pump, but doesn't quite get the idea yet. She too sarts preschool in a couple weeks. Eeek!

Boy I'm behind. You're seriously going to have to have a talk with Sprout. He is just progressing WAY faster than normal. He's going to be a super kid. I'm telling ya... :)
