so at thanksgiving time bean started going pee pee on the potty occasionally. i didn't want to mention it because, well, i didn't want to jinx it. so this week occasionally expanded to frequently. monday it was once, tuesday it was twice, wednesday it was three times, and today it was.... eight times!!!!! yes, you heard me right eight times! i changed only ONE dirty diaper today!!
now the big question is... will this continue???? it is pretty nice not to have to worry about changing diapers. :) but it is kinda stressful trying to remember to ask her if she thinks she might need to go. making sure i know where the restroom is if we go somewhere.
will she even go on the potty in a public restroom? well, i guess i know the answer to that question. she tried at the zoo last night and.... um, the automatic flush was triggered while she sat there and... yeah, it scared the living daylights out of her. oh yeah, full on freak out!! ;) but she tried again today at the library and woo hoo they don't have auto flush toilets! and yes, she did go while there.
so, here is my big girl that uses that potty...

happy dance for Big Girl Bean! Woohoo, that's awesome. *8* times in one day, and even in away from home?! Yep, it sounds like it's clicked for her!
Nadia will potty on her potty chair, sometimes even several times a day...but no poopy. I'm not pushing it at all. She'll get there eventually, but for now - diapers are easier, I dread the "know where the bathroom is at all times and never stray too far from it" phase.
Good for her! Garrett is excellent about going when you tell him, but if you don't happen to ask him to go, he'll just have an accident - and not be bothered by it one bit! Talk about frustrating...I think that saying you need to go is one of the hallmarks of *actually* being potty trained. Hopefully she is a lot faster at it than he is -- what a big girl!

AHHHH!!! You are in the home stretch. It has definitely clicked with little Bean. It does suck to be ever vigilant about the nearest bathroom and bring a change of clothing everywhere, again...but man not having to buy diapers is beautiful! You may have a little reprieve before Sprout comes!!

If only I could remember to ask Harrison! Although over Thanksgiving, while staying with friends in San Diego, he wanted to potty on the potty chair, um, I didn't have it with me. He went on the big one - more than once! Then at the park, yes the park, he insisted on pottying on in the restroom. That was an adventure I should blog about!
