It could have been worse.

the picture appointment went ok. the sprout's nose stayed under control and so did the bean's for the most part. some of the pictures are quite cute. they would be cuter, however, if the studio photographer wasn't so slow on the shutter. she missed every single one of his adorable smiles!! she would talk, he would smile, she would hold the camera up, he would stop smiling, she would take the picture. GAH! you are using a digital camera here lady, just hit the dang button already. if the picture stinks don't use it. GEEESH! regardless, we got several cute shots before sprout decided he'd had enough.
when we got home (after doing a bunch of errands) i realized that the sprout had a mild fever. poor boy. the bean might have had one too but she would not submit to having her temperature taken! so, the pictures could have gone much worse, i guess. neither one was the cranky mess that they could have been.

anyways, i have a new favorite picture of the bean to share with you all. i took it the other night in the backyard...i find that to be simply adorable! :)

oh, and on sprout's delightful new habit of peeing through his diaper and all over the bed: yes, i do make sure his boyhood is securely pointed in the down direction when changing his diaper. i think he just pees a whole lot at one time. like he is saving it up for one big pee instead of going a little here and a little there. ya know what i mean? anyways, it has been atleast 7 nights in a row now. i think i need to get some more crib sheets and buy some stock in tide or something! ;)

Awww, just look how cute and sweet she is there! Not that she isn't all the time...but you know what I mean. ;)

I'm glad at least some of the pictures came out, and you'd better share them! I totally realte to the frustrations about a photog who doesn't know what she's doing...that's why I prefer to take her pics myself!

I'm glad that at least a few of the shots were cute -- going to the portrait studio can be SUCH a headache! I remember having to go when I was little...and I always hated it.

That is a great shot of bean too!

I had the same experience with my little guy in a studio, where she kept missing the shots b/c she was messing around so much. I almost yelled at her at one point. Not so good.

I am sure you got some cute ones no matter what!

Oh my gosh - your kids are too CUTE!
And look at the bright side: if your little guy is saving it all up for one big wet diaper, then he should be easier to potty train, right? Just a few trips a day to the potty, rather than a million little ones???
I can relate - I've got a mini mostly-potty trained at home that has to go "all the time"! :o)

She's adorable. I love her expression.

I hope Sprout is feeling better soon. Have you ever heard of diaper doublers? You can get them at drugstores and probably at babiesrus. They're an insert (kind of like a cloth pad) that goes into the diaper to absorb all that extra pee. You might want to look into those. :)

What a cute Bean, sorry about the peeing through. I can only
imagine the frustrations with that.

At least some of the shots
worked out, guess it could of been worse

how about a bigger diaper - or a different brand? I know that can get expensive, trying different diapers, but you never know....
Also, would a sheet saver work?

You put them across the crib - I think they're supposed to be for spit-up, but you never know????
Love love love that pic of Bean - how cute is that expression?
