you see, i forgot to put sun screen on myself and my children!!!!! i also forgot hats and extra water. what the heck was i thinking?!?! so bean and i are now sporting red arms and faces. sigh. i feel like such a jerk letting my kid get a sunburn!
anyways, here is a picture of bean, sprout, and a gorilla eating cheerios. yes, he (or she) is really eating cheerios. bean thought that was pretty interesting and just couldn't seem to look away for a picture. (and of course sprout slept through almost the whole thing- he woke briefly to eat then promptly fell back to sleep.)
the zoo (and the sun) must have worn the bean right out because she is now sound asleep! oh my! i carried her in from the car and she didn't even wake up!! the child who will not nap is napping, praise god! :)

My dear, I've done it too - and it was in the middle of summer, and I only have one kid. Yep, I'm bad about sunscreen. And it's freaking April, who'd think you need sunscreen already?!

I always forget hats! Don't worry... you still get an award for being a great mother- because you are!
We have done the forgetting sun screen thing to and always feel terrible (mind you not much need for it here, the one i bought for the kids last year never go opened).
BTW I think your doing great getting out and about so early, i was the same after Eilidh was born as just wanted to keep on living the normal life for Rebeccas sake .Makes things easier
We are so 'sunsafe' here in Aus and yet it still happens that you forget that little bit. The back of their necks or the back of their knees. The worst sunburn the BA ever had was when I left her in the care of her 19 yea old step bro while we were moving furniture!!!! After a day in the pool with NO protection she had blisters on her shoulders by that night and they broke and wept before she went to bed!!! A hard lesson for us all and yet she STILL needs reminding on summer mornings before she goes to school to do the front of her V neck :-(. Fair skin is a curse.
