Baby Love

here is a picture that shows the monstrosity of my tum. admire the hugeness! it weighs a metic ton.... ok, so maybe not but it sure feels like it when i'm lumbering around the house!

bean likes to hug her baby. she talks to her baby. she likes to say, "daddy, look at mommy's big baby belly!!" (gah!) she declared yesterday "i think babers is ready to come out." unfortunately i don't think babers was listening.

i'm not sure she completely understands what life will be like when the baby comes home. she knows it all. baby sprout will sleep in her old crib in her old room. baby's don't talk, they can only cry. baby's don't eat food they only drink "special milk". she will go on and on telling you about all the stuff about babies. my worry is that she won't let daddy help her with anything. when i remind her that the baby will need mommy sometimes and daddy will have to help her she tells me that "daddy can take care of babers and you can take care of me." i have a feeling we are going to have an interesting first few days at home learning how to share mommy...
i'm really not all that worried about how she'll treat the baby. my concern is how she is going to react to me!

I love the photo. So precious!

With Bryce's speech delay I'm not sure what, if anything, he understands about the new baby coming to "stay". So at least you're one step ahead there. It's definitely going to be a life adjustment isn't it? I just hope I muddle through it with some form of grace. :-)

baby bellys are the best!

i bet Bean will find a whole new world in Daddy...that is what happened over here at least. wow, Daddy became a very cool, fun parent! mama became so very uninteresting...

she is going to do great - no frets!

I just love it that it's HER BABERS!

I think every second-time mom worries about that...and yet somehow they all make it thru. No words of wisdom from me since, but I bet it will go much more smoothly than you fear!

And? You look GREAT!
