several people wanted to know what bean thinks of being a big sister. well, i took this picture when she saw him for the first time. i think it says it all.
she cooed and giggled and loved on him. she wanted to hold and hug and kiss him. she decided that she wouldn't hit him after all.she is "in love" with her baby brother. how long that will last, i don't know. but so far she hasn't complained or whined about him getting attention. she hasn't gotten upset at me or her daddy. she is a really good helper. everything has gone rather smoothly.
(now picture me frantically knocking on wood)

That is the sweetest pic! So glad Bean loves being the "big sister"
When my son was born, I got advise from someone to not say to my daughter that he's "her" baby because it's puts too much responsibility on the big sis...... but it didn't matter within a few hours, he was "her baby" so she claimed him all on her own.
YAY!!!! I am doing the happy dance for you - so glad it's gone so well! I had a feeling she'd fall in love with that little guy. :o) That picture is positively sweet as can be!
The look on her face is priceless. I'd say she's in love too! Boy, I hope Bryce reacts the same way!!!
She looks like a girl in love, im sure they will be some rough days but they good quickly start to out number them
I say keep that picture and show it to her when she is ready to 'hit' him :-) Her first reaction is from the heart. She loves her brother!!!!! Gosh...I just got a bit choky then *sniff*
