she did good once she got to school. she played, made crafts, and had a little graduation ceremony in her classroom. then she walked to the "end of the year assembly" holding one of her friends hands.

on a completely different note, is anyone else's kid completely losing their tiny little mind??? for the past month or two bean has been a crazy, monstrous, nutcase losing her shit at the tiniest little infraction. tonight she raged and screamed for over a half an hour about brushing teeth... not because she didn't want them brushed but because she insisted that i didn't brush them long enough. seriously. she stood on her bed and screamed and screamed. two days ago it was because the pajamas she wanted were in the washing machine and she said she wouldn't sleep without them. these are pajamas are ones that she normally doesn't want to wear because they don't have princesses on them. gah! this isn't what 4 is going to be like, is it? because if it is, she can stay 3, thank you very much!!

inexplicable tantrums as I remember usually involved need for food (low blood sugar) or extreme tiredness. As both these incidents occurred near bedtime I wonder if there is a need to bring bedtime forward a bit for a while? Or at least the prep for bed...Has bedtime got later due to summer? When kids are experiencing a growth spurt they need more sleep, so maybe she just needs to start the wind down process earlier. I know this can be tricky when there's two kids but it's just something to think about. As for the end of school...the pix are so enchanting. I wish my pupils loved school this much :-D
Isn't it amazing the difference nine months can make?! Nadia LOVED her school too, but I think she's glad for the break now. she used to beg for every day to be a school day, and the last few weeks she asked to NOT go to school!
We've had a bit of the little girl mind losing here, too. Okay, more than a little. I don't have a lot of advice since we're still working thru it, but I do have sympathy!
I think it says so much about Bean's school that she didn't want it to end. That's got to be comforting as a parent.
And on the melt down thing. Umm, yep, Bryce has started that phase recently too. (He'll be four next month.) He's been fairly mild throughout the threes, but now he's becoming darn near impossible. I'm just glad it's still an every once in a while thing though, and not constantly!
So cute! What a difference a school year can make!
